Bouzy Rouge is without doubt the best known still, red wine produced in Champagne, probably not least because of the connotations of the word 'bouzy'. This aside, it is deservedly well respected and highly prized. Made, like red Burgundy, entirely from Pinot Noir, it needs a good vintage to allow the grapes to ripen to their fullest potential.
